My first year attending was 1980. I grew up dreaming of being a country star and The Hodag was my first ever live concert experience. I was a starry-eyed 17 year old with my whole life ahead of me. By the following year I got a job working security and and got my ticket and camping free! Watching some of my heroes perform was so inspiring and the friends I made there are people I will never forget. It's fun no matter who performs. Aren't happy memories of good times and good people what the Hodag has always been about? And for the ticket prices I defy you to find another outdoor venue that gives you more bang for your buck.
Hodaggers are among the nicest, most respectful concert goers in the world and I would attend if the entertainment was a radio, just as long as the people and fun were still there!
