I know there has been a lot of discussion about Neal McCoy closing out Saturday night. The way that I look at it is this - Neal deserves the respect to close. Neal LOVES the Hodag and all of us have heard him up on the stage saying how much the Hodag means to him and if ever the day comes and they say that they can't afford to pay him, that he would play at the Hodag for free. I have heard him say that he would walk or crawl to get to the Hodag. He deserves all the respect that we can give him. To all of the other performers the Hodag is just another stop on their tour. To Neal it is his favorite place to play every year, How can he not close?
